Summer Housing 2014 Information:  REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER HOUSING OPENS MARCH 26, 2014

Summer School Housing for 2014 is available to Washington University undergraduate students beginning May 18, 2014 and ending August 15, 2014.  Housing will be located on the South Forty in the Sophomore Suites (Dauten, Rutledge), consisting of 6-person suites (2 single rooms & 2 double rooms) sharing a common bathroom. You must maintain enrollment in at least one summer school course to live in Summer School Housing.  A miminum 21 day stay is required.

Summer School Housing will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you request a double room but do not request a roommate then one will be assigned to you at random and according to gender. All bedrooms will be assigned to summer students at random by the Office of Summer Programs and Conference Services. Assignments will be according to gender and no mix gender suites will be available. You will not receive your actual room assignment until you check in for Summer Housing.


Each suite/bedroom is equipped with the following:

  • Living room furniture
  • Bathroom with shower (1 per suite)
  • Free utilities including air conditioning
  • Access to coin op laundry facilities
  • Adjacent parking, for parking pass information click here
  • Extra long twin bed (1 in single room, 2 in double room)
  • Desk with chair
  • Chest of drawers
  • Closet
  • Free In-room internet access (must provide your own ethernet cable)

If you currently live in Residential Life housing and you wish to stay until May 18th, you MUST apply for a "Late Stay" through the office of Summer Programs and Conference Services, which will extend your academic year contract.  Late Stay requests beyond May 18th will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Please Note:  In certain circumstances, you may be required to move to a temporary transition room on the South Forty until Summer Housing is cleaned and ready.  Storage is not available on campus.

Once you have completed the Summer School Housing registration process, you must select the link provided to proceed to the Late Stay request form.  THE DEADLINE TO REQUEST A LATE STAY IS APRIL 30, 2014.

After August 15th, if you wish to transition to your Academic Year Housing, you will be adding to your Academic Year Contract and must apply for an "Early Move In" through the Office of Residential Life. 

2014 Summer School Housing Rates:   Housing is no longer charged per session but on a nightly basis, and will be charged to your student account approximately two weeks after your check-in date.

Double Room:  $23.00 per bed per night

Single Room:  $25.00 per night


 Dining is available in the Danforth University Center on the Danforth Campus.  Campus dining accepts cash, credit card or Meal Poiints, which can be purchased by selecting "Meal Points" on the registration form.
