Research Housing is available to Washington University undergraduate students beginning Sunday, May 26, 2019 and ending  Friday, August 9, 2019. All fees for housing will be applied to your student account approximately two weeks after your check-in date.  You must provide a valid student ID number with your online housing registration in order to secure housing.

Research Housing for Non-Wash U undergraduates is available from Sunday, May 26, 2019 to Friday, August 2, 2019. Credit card payment required at time of registration.

Only those undergraduates involved in academic research projects are eligible.  This research must be approved by a department. Non-Washington University students interested in an academic research project should contact the Office of Undergraduate Research before registering.

Cancellations: You may cancel your reservation by going to the Summer Programs and Conference Services website and completing a Summer Housing Reservation Cancellation Form. Failure to cancel your reservation 30 days prior to your check-in date will result in a $200 fee.

Village East Apartments – Located on campus

  • flat rate for the whole summer is TBD
  • 3 to 4 single bedrooms in each apartment

Greenway Apartments– Located one block south of the Loop

U Drive Apartments – Located in Ames Place Neighborhood

  • flat rate for the whole summer is TBD
  • 2 to 4 single bedrooms in each traditional style apartment
  • Full kitchen, including stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher (pots and pans are not included)
  • Living room furniture
  • Dining room furniture
  • One bathroom, including vanity, toilet and tub with shower
  • Each bedroom has one twin XL size bed, one dresser, one desk, one chair and one small bookcase/nightstand (linens are not provided)

All bedrooms will be assigned to Research students at random by Summer Programs and Conference Services.  Assignments will be made according to gender.  We cannot guarantee specific apartment or room requests.

If you currently live in Washington University Residential Life housing and you wish to stay until May 26th, you MUST request a “Late Stay” on the summer housing application form which will extend your academic year contract. Late stay requests beyond May 17th will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note: In certain circumstances you may be required to move to a temporary transition room on the South Forty until Research Housing is cleaned and ready.  Storage is not available on campus. 

After August 10th, if you wish to transition to your Academic Year Housing, you will be adding to your Academic year contract and must apply for an “Early Move In” through the Office of Residential Life.

Dining is available in the Danforth University Center on the Danforth Campus.  Campus dining accepts cash, credit card or meal points which can be purchased by selecting “Meal Points” on the registration form.

Bear Bucks may be added via your WebStac account.

*Please note due to construction, summer parking passes will only be permitted to park in their designated garages/lots.
