SUMMER HOUSING REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2020

Intern and Research Housing is available to Washington University undergraduate students, 18 years of age or older, beginning Sunday, May 24, 2020 and ending Friday, August 7, 2020.  All fees for housing will be applied to your student account approximately two weeks after your check-in date.  You must provide a valid student ID number with your online housing registration in order to secure housing.

Intern and Research Housing for Non-Wash U undergraduates, 18 years or older, is available   from Sunday, May 24, 2020 to Friday, July 31, 2020. Credit card payment is required at time of registration.

Only those undergraduates involved in academic research projects and internships are eligible. Students do no have to receive academic credit for the internships/research projects.

Cancellations: You may cancel your reservation by going to the Summer Programs and Conference Services website and completing a Summer Housing Reservation Cancellation Form.  Failure to cancel your reservation 30 days prior to your check-in date will result in a $200.00 fee.

The Lofts – Located on the Delmar Loop

  • 3 single bedrooms in each apartment
  • Full kitchen, including stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher (pots and pans are not included)

  • One bathroom, including vanity, toilet and tub with shower
  • Each single bedroom has one full size bed, one dresser, one desk, one chair and a small bookcase/nightstand (linens are not provided)

Millbrook Apartments – Located on Danforth Campus

  • Each bedroom has one to two twin XL size beds, one to two dressers, one to two desks, one to two chairs and one to two small bookcase/nightstand (linens are not provided)

Greenway Apartments- Located one block south of the Loop

  • 1 to 3 bedroom apartments

U Drive Apartments – Located in Ames Place Neighborhood

  • 2 to 4 single bedrooms in each traditional style apartment
  • Full kitchen, including stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher (pots and pans are not included)

  • One bathroom, including vanity, toilet and tub with shower
  • Each bedroom has one twin XL size bed, one dresser, one desk, one chair and one small bookcase/nightstand (linens are not provided)

Village East Apartments – Located on Danforth Campus

  • flat rate for the whole summer is TBD
  • 3 to 4 single bedrooms in each apartment
  • Full kitchen, including stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher (pots and pans are not included)

  • Two bathrooms, including vanity, toilet and tub with shower
  • Each single bedroom has one full size bed, one dresser, one desk, one chair and a small bookcase/nightstand (linens are not provided)

All bedrooms will be assigned to Intern students at random by Summer Programs and Conference Services.  Assignments will be made according to gender.  specific apartment or room requests cannot be accommodated.

*Please note due to construction, summer parking passes will only be permitted to park in their designated garages/lots.

Dining is available in the Danforth University Center on the Danforth Campus.  Campus dining accepts cash or credit card or meal points which can be added via your Webstac account.

Bear Bucks may be added via your WebStac account.

Res. Life Late Stays

If you currently live in Washington University Residential Life housing and you wish to stay until May 26th, you MUST submit a Late Stay Form with Res. Life.  Please note: In certain circumstances you may be required to move to a temporary transition room until Intern Housing is cleaned and ready.  Storage is not available on campus.  

Participating in Intern/Research and currently living in Res Life Managed Housing:

  • Residence halls will close on Thursday, May 7th at 5PM. If you are participating in a research or intern program and need late stay housing until intern/research housing begins on Sunday, May 24th, please complete a Late Stay Request Form via your WashU Housing Portal.

Not Enrolled in Summer School or an Intern/Research Program:

  • If you are not enrolled in summer school or participating in an intern/research program, there are no long term housing options available for residential life students or non-res life students following the building close date on Thursday, May 7th at 5PM. Should you have a need for emergency housing following the close date, please contact Residential Life office via email or phone. Emergency approvals will only be approved to stay no later than Sunday, May 24th.
  • Important Information to Note:
    • A late stay fee of $50.00/night will apply in all approved cases.
    • In certain circumstances you may be required to move to a temporary space.
    • Storage is NOT available on campus.

If you are a graduating senior, the above does not apply to you.
